I hope you had an amazing day.

Well, I did, in fact, I just had the most surreal experience and I want to share it with you.

As I write this to you, I am typing with just 1 hand and that's because I was craving mango a few hours back and couldn't stop myself from getting some.

So I put on my shorts and a tee and dashed out of my house, and went straight to the woman who sells mangoes by the main road.

On reaching there, she wasn't around, her neighbor who also sells mango, told me she went to the market and won't be back anytime soon.

The joy that filled my heart when I first left my room died down as I wasn't going to get Mama's fresh mangoes.

And as I turned my back to head back home, Mama's neighbor offered to sell hers to me at a discounted price but I refused to buy any from her.

And that brings me to the reason I am sending this mail.

Fellow linkers, I am sure at one point in our lives we knowingly or unknowingly became loyal fans to a mama outside our house ( a brand).

This loyalty is so strong that even when we're made an offer by other brands we won't take it.

That's because over time these brands have successfully made us brand ambassadors.

You see, building customer loyalty is crucial for the long-term success of any business.

This is because It is easier to retain an existing customer than to get a new customer (read that again).

And in the spirit of the excitement I felt when Mama returned right after I declined her neighbor's offer.

Here are some essential strategies you can implement to build customer loyalty for your business:

🔺Personalised Communication: Your customers appreciate when you take the time to communicate with them on a personal level.

If you have noticed, the mama outside your street tries her best to know your name, and sometimes even goes as far as giving you a pet name.

This is just to build personal communication.

So, use their name when addressing them in your communications, and tailor your messaging to their interests and preferences.

🔺Loyalty Programs:

This is just a fancy word for offering rewards and incentives to your regular customer.

It is an effective way to build customer loyalty.

Cultivate the habit of a loyalty program that offers discounts, exclusive content, or free products to customers who continue to do business with you.

🔺Exceptional Customer Service: Providing exceptional customer service is one of the most effective ways to build customer loyalty.

The truth is, if Mama's customer service was terrible, I wouldn't have hesitated to take her neighbor's offer.

Make sure your customer service team is knowledgeable, responsive, and friendly, and provide quick and effective solutions to any issues that arise.

These 3 strategies are ways you can build brand loyalty without spending an arm and a leg.
