Meet Oluchi, the Business Owner of the Month!

"It doesn't always work out in the first trial, but it's going to eventually work out."

Happy New Month Linker!

I hope May was fun, progressive, and full of growth. Anyway, now it's behind us, and it's time to enjoy June in all its glory!

First, I think it is super cool the new month begins on the same day that we rebranded Business Owner of the Week into Business Owner of the Month. It looks like a good sign to me.

Well, I'm here with our most anticipated business owner of the month and today's business owner and trust me when I say I am a super fan of our products. ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ”ฅโœจ

If you love cakes, parfaits, and other sugary treats, then you are going to love this lady.

Links: So Lulu, can you give us a quick, short introduction of yourself to our subscribers?

Oluchi: Hi guys! My names are Chinecherem V. Oluchi. I am a student of UNN, Enugu State. I am also a technical writer, tech enthusiast, and baker! I love food and even better, I love trying out new recipes and experimenting with them. It just makes me happy. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Oluchi: Ok so I started my brand Lulu's cake corner in 2021 and although it was exciting, it was also a very crazy experience. From the weird texts on Instagram to having all the slots booked, the journey has been amazing.

Links: that's very beautiful to hear. So what products and services does your brand offer?

Oluchi: Oh! My brand, Lulu's cake corner focuses on confectionary services particularly cakes of all forms. However, our customers love the cake parfaits and cupcakes way more than offer. It's one of the many products from us that keeps us apart from other confectionary businesses in Nsukka.

Links: Nice! I have a very sensitive question though. What do you consider to be the biggest mistake you made when you started your business?

Oluchi: One of the biggest mistakes I made in the early days of my business was Underpricing my cakes. I did that because I was afraid that a lot of people wouldn't be able to afford them.

Links: That's a valid fear most small business owners have. I am glad you learned your lesson. So, where do you see yourself and your business in the next five years?

Oluchi: I see myself making and distributing cake parfaits in an open space of my own, and doing local and international shipping.

Links: Someone's got big dreams and that's super good to see. Any advice for subscribers before we round this up?

Oluchi: Dear subscribers and fellow business owners, you'll get it right, and it's okay to get frustrated along the line. It doesn't always work out in the first trial, but it's going to eventually work out.
Links: Thank you so much Oluchi for that advice and for your time too! I am sure that some of our subscribers reading this would love to buy your parfaits or contact you for deals. Do you have social media handles for that?

Oluchi: Oh yes! They can find me on my personal social media handles. For Instagram, they can find me @_lulugidi and on Twitter @Oluchi_nelson.

And they can also contact the Instagram page for my brand @Lulu'sCakeCorner.

Links: Alright thank you so much for being available for today and for dishing out those inspiring words to our subscribers.
